Whether you are
considering starting a PPL(Gyroplane) course or simply finding out what
taking control of an aircraft feels like, the Trial Flights will provide an
unforgettable experience for anyone who samples it for the first time.
As a CAA
authorised Flying Training Organisation, we conduct our Trial Flights with
same level of professionalism and attention to safety as we would any of our
pilot courses or flights.
All our aircraft
are equipped with dual controls, and you will occupy the captain's seat in
the front with one of our experienced flying instructors in the back - it is
the best seat in the house.
Throughout the
Trail Flight you will be encouraged to take the controls for most of the
flight with the instructor intervening mainly during the takeoff and landing
phases of the flight.
All lessons are preceded by a classroom
briefing to explain the basic controls and to discuss the flight route.
Any time flown during a Trail Flight will count towards the PPL(G) course should you decide to take up flying.
There are five types of Trail Flights currently on
offer:
THE SUNNY FLIGHT - £50
An exciting 15 minute trial flight allowing you enough time to sample the controls of the aircraft.
THE BRONZE FLIGHT - ?90
This will give you approximately 30 minutes in the
aircraft, enough to fly around the local area - St Mary's Marsh.
THE SILVER FLIGHT - £160
This lesson lasts a
full hour. In that time you could, for example, fly around Kent - along the
Thames Estuary, Southend, Gravesend, Rochester, Maidstone before returning.
THE GOLDEN FLIGHT - £400
This flight consists of 3 lessons (3 hours) and 3 briefings where you will learn to fly the autogyro starting with upper air work. It is the best way to get to appreciate just how safe and exciting this aircraft truely is. The golden flight allows you the perfect opportunity to understand more about this aircraft both on the ground and in the air.
THE LONDON FLIGHT - £250
This truly fantastic experience flight takes you into London over the QE2 Bridge from the East in an Autogyro. It follows the Thames Estuary along all the way up to the Thames Barrier past City airport where you will be able to see the Millennium Dome and Canary Wharf with London as a backdrop in its full glory. In addition you will be party to speaking to either Heathrow or Thames Radar who will monitor our flight in the London Zone. An experience to treasure (this experience is only available Saturdays and bookings are limited). This experience flight can last up to 90 minutes depending on the volume of traffic in the London Zone plus you get to experience the controls of the aircraft as well. This is indeed the ultimate experience flight in an Autogyro!
